Surveys and slides

This post is very much for people who teach and present, although it might be of interest to people who use tech generally – which is most of us I guess.

2sli.de is a simple and effective slide system for teachers and lecturers, designed by Dr Robin Shields of Bath University. It can be used by anyone who wants to do a quick survey whether in a classroom, conference or more widely.

Students (or respondees) either email or text a given address when prompted by the teacher/lecturer/presenter and their responses appear immediately to the teacher/lecturer/presenter – who can then display them as part of their presentation.

Robin says he’s still working on the graphics and other aspects of the slides system – and he’s very aware that slides have their limitations. However, I think it’s a really nice wee tool, so I thought I’d flag it here.

Robin would really appreciate any feedback you might have, at r.a.shields@bath.ac.uk or on Twitter at @robinshields.

Happy surveying.
